  1. Designing Demand- SME workshop

    Designing Demand is a new programme developed by the Design Council to help you get full value from design. It will give you the skills you need to spot how design can boost performance and it will help you seize new-found design opportunities.

    The workshop is for owners, managing directors or other senior managers of firms aiming to grow and improve their performance through design.

    Business Workshops all FREE and run from 8.30am - 2.30pm. Breakfast and lunch are provided.

  2. GETTING PHYSICAL - The Third Sector and Physical Regeneration in Deprived Communities

    One North East have commissioned Pentagon Partnership and the Tees Valley VCS Forum to host 2 mini-conferences to mark the launch of a report* (commissioned by One NorthEast and produced by the PNE Group) exploring the Third Sector’s involvement in creating and improving physical spaces in deprived areas.

    Featuring a range of expert speakers from the public and third sectors, the events will explore:

    When and why? The benefits of asset development and physical regeneration
    Opportunities – identifying them and capitalising on them
    Barriers – perceived and actual - and how to overcome them
    How can One NorthEast and local authorities help?

  3. A Spark of inspiration

    A FREE Spark Your Potential event is taking place at Sunderland’s National Glass Centre on the afternoon of Wednesday 15th October, coordinated by Spark, the Women’s Enterprise Ambassador Network and Make Your Mark.

    The event will bring together successful entrepreneurs and enterprise experts to encourage women to recognise brilliant business opportunities across the region.

    Attendees will have the opportunity to hear first hand anecdotes and advice from their own personal journeys. The highlight of the day is an invaluable opportunity to experience a one-to-one advice session with an industry expert of their choice - individuals the women feel can help them the most; be it general business advisors, marketeers, accountants or lawyers.

    Many of you will know Clare Coffield as a Management Trainer delivering ILM accredited courses as well as Personal Development workshops. Over sixty students in Gateshead and Northumberland County Councils have successfully gained their Level 3 Management qualifications with her.

    She has also been working as an Associate of P3 Coaching with Barbara Dennis in delivering Voluntary Sector Executive Coaching in the Leadership Foundation Programme.

    You may have already benefitted from Clare's Coaching Workshops at Matfen Hall and The Northern Counties Club. Now there is an opportunity to come to the first session of a new Coaching Club on Wednesday 15 October 6.30-8.30 at The Northern Counties Club.

    The first event is FREE so you can come and try out some group coaching and then decide if you would like to continue with the five remaining sessions in the series. Just contact Clare to register.
