North East-based songstress Beccy Owen will be launching her long-awaited third album this week.
"Down with Gravity" will be launched in The Marble Hall within Newcastle's Laing Art Gallery on Thursday 23 October from 7:30pm. Beccy herself will be playing on the evening, showcasing some of the tracks on the new album.
Over the past year Beccy has been working hard in the studio alongside producer Joe Rusby, recording at the Pure Records studio in Penistone, Yorkshire, with guest vocalists such as Kate Rusby and Richard Dawson.
Beccy has recently played the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Solfest, and Stockton Riverside as well as venues in New York. She has been playlisted on BBC Radio and various regional and internet radio stations, and performed live on LBC and BBC Radio 2.
This is a very exclusive event and the numbers will be limited. There will be a bar service on the evening and Beccy will be on hand to chat, answer questions, and sign CDs - as well as performing.
