			<description><![CDATA[<p>The seed of a business idea was sown when Lindsay Lattimer had problems getting hold of certain feeds for her own horses and animals.</p><p>Now Lindsay, with backing from mum Margaret Wigham, has given up her full time NHS job and set up Cherrytree Supplies Ltd, based at Greenside Farm near Castleside in County Durham.</p>]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[<p>Three North East councils are helping residents waste less food and save cash. Gateshead, South Tyneside and Sunderland councils have launched a campaign to reduce the amount of food that ends up in landfills.</p><p>As part of the campaign, local people are being asked to send in recipe ideas that use food which may otherwise be wasted, such as Bubble and Squeak made from leftover cooked vegetables. The best recipes will be showcased in the regional media, on the councils' websites and have the chance of winning a copy of the book, 'Eat Well, Waste Less' by Bish Muir. Local chefs are also putting their recipes in to the pot.</p>]]></description>

			<title><![CDATA[New Spirit for Northumberland drinks maker]]></title>

			<description><![CDATA[<p>The producer of iconic North East drinks Alnwick Rum and Alnwick IPA now has a new Spirit after registering a new trademark. The Alnwick Rum Company used Newcastle-based law firm Ward Hadaway to register "Spirit of Northumberland" as a trademark for all of its drinks in the UK.</p><p>The company, which was revived by managing director Ian Linsley in 2003, is now looking to use the trademark to market its products across the country.</p>]]></description>
