According to a Warwick University employment specialist, the practice of ‘presenteeism’ is on the rise. Presenteeism refers to the (hopefully rare) occurrence of a sick employee turning up for work anyway, to show their dedication to the job.

While we don’t doubt the work of an educated university professor, we’re pretty sure that even the recession isn’t going to make many people crawl to work from their beds when they are truly ill. But maybe we’re wrong…
